Blurring a plate is ridiculous. It is not private as your vehicle and you are on public display regardless.
In many cases and in many countries it is a very wise thing to blur the license plate.

In most countries they even keep the VIN secret.

If taking exceptional pictures for documenting, internet-displaying or selling your Sky, why not remove the license plates? I do that when documenting or selling a car. It takes just a couple minutes. I am not worried about privacy or security. I remove the plates so the car looks better in the pictures.

I feel the same way about my social security number. For 50 years it was public record and anyone that wants it can ask me. The cat is out of the bag. Too late to worry about it now!!! Do you refuse to give your SS# when asked for it?
I am a gun dealer and occasionally someone will not want to give me their SS# when I am running the background check. My response is, "Do you want this gun today or a week from today." That usually does the job and I get the #
