Is this what's needed for the trifecta tune or is something else needed in addition to this ?
Trifecta sells you vin specific software that they email and sell separately from this cable. You also use a laptop.
Possibly they will rent you a cable with a big deposit.
Having your own cable allows you to switch back and forth to original oem program in case a smog check looked for original software. I went back and forth for California smog check. Now sadly my car is sold.
Also having your own cable permits adding a modified new tune if you modify engine, like adding a bigger turbo or buying a new ecu.

I have been alerted that Trifecta no longer sells tune downloads separately from this cable. So my cable is only useful as a replacement cable. Therefore, price reduced to $60 shipped.
