Waste of time and money. If you want a larger throttle opening just push the accelerator a bit more. Zero added power and no appreciable improvement in drivability.

Agreed. Right off the bat it *feels* like the car is faster, but over time your brain will adjust and the car will go back to feeling like normal.

If you want to see what this affects, take your cold side charge pipe/intake off your throttle body. Now have someone sit in the car and turn the key to the run position but don't start it.

Now have them put the throttle to the floor as fast as they can. The time it takes the throttle butterfly in the throttle body to go from idle to full throttle is what this is supposed to improve upon. On an LE5, you can replace the throttle body with the throttle body off the LSJ. This throttle body is slightly larger and fits the opening on the LE5s intake manifold (which is larger than the stock throttle body's opening). There are power gains and throttle response gains to be had from this kind of modification.

That YouTube video is on Facebook. That brought more attention to this. It was just recently done so that's probably why the uptick in these posts.

I think these kind of products ( Sprint Booster )may have some value....before I got my Sky....I just turned in my lease on my daily driver...the legendary performance car ....a Kia Forte....(just kidding of course )

....anyway my 2019 Kia has a mode button and when I put it in sport mode....wow....it's like there actually is an engine in there...you just touch the gas and it's ready to go...great for quick acceleration getting on the freeway.

I was disappointed with the acceleration on my Sky...compared to my Kia....so a product like this could up the fun factor....Of course it won't be like a turbo or supercharger...but I really like the way it makes my little Kia respond....if I could get a similar response out of my Sky....I'd be jazzed !

This Sprint Booster I'd really need to see and test myself before I believe their claims. It goes between the pedal and the wiring loom. This means the ONLY thing it is affecting is the signal coming from the pedal to the ECM. I'd need to see how this signal is being manipulated and what the results are at the throttle body before I'd make any claims as to how it improves throttle response. They claim it makes the throttle body open quicker but I'm not seeing any sort of delay on my throttle input to throttle reaction and I have a 2.4.

I suspect that it amplifies the throttle signal so that it is sending a 50% command when you ask for 30%. You memory knows what 30% feels like and when you get 50% it feels quicker. I think I will stick with my 1:1 foot feed and save the money.

Yes. That's exactly what it does, and ALL that it does. There was a lot of discussion on this item many years ago. I could never see the point myself... I'll just press harder if I need to.

Oh I'm right there with you. Same with the "speed" issue. If you look at their site they show the "stock" programming opens the throttle REALY slow but theirs can be programmed to make it instantaneous...and that half throttle is still half throttle.

However, they show you this on a "bench" throttle body and not one in a car. This makes me question it and while I have my hypothesis, you know me, I like having definite proof collaborating my hypothesis.
