Trying to track down my Saturn Sky I sold in 2011! It was a 2010, only 1 of 8 built! I was the first owner! Here is the Vin # 1G8MC3CB5AY100003! I've already purchased a vehicle history report which is attached! If any of you know of any tricks and are good detectives I would appreciate your help! The reason is I was the first owner and I'd like to buy it back! Thanks again everyone!!

Here is the historical record from your document:
2017-03-14 Florida Current 42,258 1G8MC3CB5AY100 003
2012-07-20 Florida Historical 11,900 1G8MC3CB5AY100 003
2010-08-17 Florida Historical 2,425 1G8MC3CB5AY100 003
2009-11-23 Michigan Historical 10 1G8MC3CB5AY100 003

That tells me you live in Michigan. You sold it on 2010-08-17 (not 2011) to someone who registered the car in Florida.

Other parts of the document states the car was sold on 2017-3-4 at Warner Robbins, Georgia 31088 (had been advertised for $19,500) and apparently was registered to the new owner on 2017-3-14, in Florida. The report indicates the car is still registered in Florida.

The car is black and is an NA.

I recommend you hook up with Kappa owners in Florida and have them keep an eye out for a 2010 Black NA SKY with some 50K miles, (+ or -). Unless you winter in Florida, you will need to depend on what Kappa owners in Florida run across that fits that description and VIN. I assume you still live in Michigan. Good luck in your effort to reach out to Florida forum members and Kappa owners to find your car.

You might try to contact the County DOT office for the Georgia town of Warner Robbins and see if their records would reveal who the seller was there in their county of the March 2017 transaction. Not that long ago, they might just be of assistance.

Would be interesting if you cared to share with forum members here why you are pursuing finding the car. ?? if you so choose.

Do a search for car dealers in Warner Robbins, GA. If you can get to someone in sales, they could easily remember the car, it wasn't listed that long ago. If so, give them your story, and they may be able to help you out.

I would get a CarFax report on it since it will list service records when the information is available. That would give you a better idea of the car's location and maybe even someone to contact.

That VIN has 35 records according to CarFax. It may not lead anywhere, but $40 isn't that much to spend to find out.

I ran a Carfax (I can get them for free) and the last entry is below. There are no service records for the car in Florida. Also, it still has the open recall for the PPS.

Maybe MM or Moosebreath have some contacts in the Orlando Kappa community. :willy:

There is a current post on these SKY forum pages of an Orlando Club wanting to get started. Maybe you could join from afar and get help there.

Back in 2011 there was a site called Check My Ride (An Experian Credit Check Company), it was suppose to allow car enthusiasts a way to find their old cars (based on the VIN). But due to the Driver's Protection Privacy Act of 1994, it was abandoned.

This may be a long shot: The Lost Car Registry: Finding The Ones That Got Away

I'd also place a post on the below Facebook groups, maybe even offer a reward for motivation, but proceed with cation on that idea.
Pontiac Solstice/Saturn Sky/Opel GT/ Daewoo G2X owners
Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky Classifieds

Only other idea would to ask a police or DMV friend to run the VIN.

I think I might have the owner address for you.

Will PM you
RedOne, did you hear from RRDDP about your lead? Seemed like a lot of good information was coming his way. Hope he was serious about following up. Your tip had to be the best, if it turned out to be the owner.

The reason I'm trying to get it back is my little girl who was about 5 standing next to it and the profile pic of mine didn't want me to sell it! I'm trying to get it back so I can give to her next year when she's old enough to start driving!!!

First picture is when I bought my first Sky and my son was only about 10 years old. Second picture is the day he passed his driver's license driving test...in my manual transmission second (and current) Sky....
