We had 9 cars out for our unofficial Sonoma/Napa run a week ago, so we're trying to get some more opportunities for people to come out and get their fluids flowing (in the car at least).

These are unofficial runs, and we ask all drivers and co-pilots to take local health orders into account, bring a mask and hand sanitizer, maintain social distancing wherever possible, and drive safely. Loaner radios will be limited (if available) so we ask that you bring your own FRS radio if possible.

July 11 - Unofficial Stinson Beach/Tomales Bay/Petaluma run - Unofficial Stinson Beach/Tomales Bay/Petaluma Run

Starting in Marin, heading to the coast, Stinson Beach to Point Reyes Station for a picnic, then further up the coast to Tomales and east to Petaluma.

August 2 (moved to Sunday) - Unofficial Bay Area Forest/Coastal Scenic Drive - Unofficial Bay Area Forest/Coastal Scenic Drive

We're looking at 3 hours on the road for this "south bay" run, with some historic stops (Pulgas Water Temple, Filoli House and Garden), some beverage tasting stops, a good burger, and a wrap-up along the Pacific coast. Semi-final details pending a pre-run this coming weekend.

WCKCC membership and event fees are not required for these events; board members will be on hand to answer questions and take membership applications if you're interested though. When shelter-in-place ends, we'll go back to our official events and traditional event policies.

The "Bonny Burger" unofficial run has been updated, and moved to the Sunday of that weekend (August 2).

Details at Unofficial Bonny Burger (Bay Area Forest/Coastal Scenic) Drive

Pulgas and Filoli won't work out because of scheduling and ticket prices, but we've got some promising photo stops and some fun roads (including a 10mph hairpin turn that I remember from my first winding road drive in my Sky four years ago).

I'm just curious: If you plan it, schedule it, and announce it, what makes it unofficial?

It's not officially hosted by the club... we don't require people to be members to attend, or take registrations... we don't loan out radios... pretty much it's "friends of the club."

(Just saw this reply... guess I should check my notification options on the new site)

We're headed off to Bonny Doon this coming Sunday. Be sure to check the event details on our Facebook page if you're coming, and answer the poll if you want a seat on our reservation at Beauregard Winery.
