It is my understanding that they are continuing on with the VINs, sine it is an option not a new car. The one thing I know is the B in the 5th position on the VIN will be a G instead of the B on the Base SKY.

My dealer jusy gave mt a partial VIN for my Red line. It reads; 7Y109880.

Yes it does. When refering to the vin they usually use the last 6 digets.

You are the 9880 Kappa built, mine was the 8087th Kappa built, yours was built 1793 Kappa built after mine, and Pitcom was built over 1000 Kappas before me. My R/L was built Aug 9th, I can't recall offhand Pitcom's build date.

Not really you have to remember the 2006 Solstice had vins aound 21125 plus the first 1000. They were made for almost 10 months before they started the Sky. So the vins for the sky from march untill June 24, 2006 are the order built but after that it all changed when they added the Solstice 2007 model.Thats when they started mixing vins to kappa vins.
