Solvang Weekend June 27-29

The (West Coast Kappa Car Club) has a Face Book page. Most of our members look at that site daily. A faster response on any of your questions. I thought this might be more helpful. Ed

Book solvang room now

FYI, desk clerk at the King Frederik Inn in Solvang told me today they are down to 33% availability. Not sure how many rooms that is, so if your thinking about going on this run and staying with the rest of us, you should book ASAP.

Dog question

would it be inappropriate to bring my dog to this event? This is one of the few events that is not a Sunday only event. I would have to leave by 9:00am on Sunday to get back to work on time, so, I will not miss much of the event.
I just called the motel, and they do not allow dogs. They suggested I try the Royal Copenhagen. Has anybody ever stayed there?

Jen and I should be there as well. It took me a while to book as I was looking at other hotels in the area and then last week the availability just crashed to almost nothing. A good site like Tripadvisor is generally all you need unless you want to play the "scroll around with Google maps and see what pops up" game.

I am sorry that I didn't see this earlier. I am not sure of the Royal, never stayed there. Sorry

Funny thing is I thought it was this weekend.

I just had surgery and was wondering if I was recovered enough to sit for the long drive.

So far it looks like I might make it.

Now, I have to figure out how to get there on a Friday night, or leave early on Saturday. Maybe I'll stay in Oxnard.

Sure thing, let me know as soon as you can so I can add to our reservations for dinner on Saturday night. Barbara

Lynn Jake, and I just booked a room at the Wine Valley Inn, across the street, and about a block a way. They are dog friendly. I hope it is not too late to be added to the reservations for dinner on Saturday night. what time are people going down on Friday, and are any of us planning on going down as part of a group? I would love to join if they are.
I know this is probably a long shot, but, is any body taking down a support vehicle? If possible, I would like to send down 5 gallons of E-85.

Dave sent out an email with an outline to head down to Solvang together back on May 28th. The core of it is below. I don't think anyone is taking a support vehicle; the closest is that I'm going to be trying out a new kappa rack and may only use half the space on it for a single dry bag. That said, Jen and I are going to be hiking along the coast the following week rather than returning with the group.
