I really love this Saturn Sky. I have a problem buying new cars. I just sold my 6th Mustang an 06 w/ 800 miles on it. I have had 6 new cars in a litte over 2 years. I also have a 1993 Mustang Cobra fully stock with 10,000 miles on it. They made on 4995 of these. Would you sell this one to get this Sky. I have never had a convertible.

I know nothing about collecting cars. I think your car is kinda rare. Maybe you could just borrow against it.

NYYANKEE,

Nice mustang. You are the only person that can answer your question. The SKY is a completely different type of car. How do you plan to use it? You would be giving up the ability to have more than one passenger and will lose most of your trunk space. You will be trading the big V8 power for quick handling. If you want one of the hottest looking cars on the planet, and enjoy top down driving then the SKY will be more enjoyable.

The bad thing about selling your Mustang is that once its gone, you probably won't be able to replace it.

I think it's a matter of personal taste. It's nice to have choices!

I am the wrong guy to reply because I don't like Mustangs, I can say I have never really liked any generation of them...

but it all comes down to if you really have a need for a small 2 seater convertible you may not drive very often?

This car as my 06 just sat in my garage and rarely used. My plan was to let my kids grow up and then take them to car shows. I never drive this Cobra. I'm afraid to let the sun hit it. I'm a professional Firefighter and a Carpenter. I was looking to purchase the new Dodge Nitro to have the best of both worlds. Something to put my kids in and also carry limited tools. But I would also have the Cobra. I just thought maybe I would still do both but have the sky that I would actually drive here and there. It's a hard decision. But you are right. I would not be able to replace this one. Decisions, decisions.:banghead:

If you do sell the Mustang you better put it on E-Bay. That car is worth much more then whatever KBB list it at.

I personally never liked the boxy Escort-like Mustang. But you should do whatever YOU want...you only live once.

I'm sure not the one to ask. I haven't liked what Mustang has done in a long time. The brand new ones aren't bad. My wife likes them. :willy: I was looking for something different. The Sky fit the bill.

Given how much you have cared for the car I don't know if I would recommend it. You may get a lot of purchase dissonence if it means sacrificing one car for another. If you can swing owning both for a little while then I think that would be your best bet -- then you can decide.

And I sold this... to wait for a "Family" car. The dodge Nitro. Something that makes more sense for the family. But I really love this sky.

The nyyankee username means that I live in NY and I am called a Yankee. Although I am a Yankee fan.
No problem, I'm from the Glens Falls area myself, but I was brought up a Bosox fan.
