So, I was driving through a subdivision and I pointed to a yellow roadster and told my sig. other "there's a Solstice". Upon further examination and the Solstice statement not quite adding up, I discovered it was a yellow Sky. Not having seen one in person before, I stopped to take pics of it. :D

Have enough pics been posted that this is a non-sequitor or should I post the pics to the site?

Interesting to note, it did not have an "M" plate so I still would need to edit the pics b/f posting. For those of you who don't know, M plates are manufacturers plates. This implies that the individual owns it, but we all know that cannot be true, right?!??!

Yes to Yellow

Yes, please post pics of the yellow Sky. I've been impatiently waiting out my #2 position at a Long Island Saturn dealer that does not even seem to know what the Sky is. At least they took my money in late August and will let me order as soon as they get images. That's a much better story than some I have read here.

Anyway, have the options picked out but I still don't know what color to get... have it down to red, green, dark blue or yellow! I have yet to see a real picture of a yellow one. Thanks!

Post away. You may have to use an off-site free posting site like Putfile.com since your ability to upload pics here as a junior member may be limited. I am surprised a little that a yellow Sky is already on the prowl as the actual color has just been announced within the last couple weeks. It has to be preproduction regardless of the plate on it and since it is on the street it would not be headed for a show.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back here. You know how it is, life called- trash duties, dinner, keeping the Sig. Other happy (by taking out the trash), etc.

Anyway, I now apparently have a putfile home page: http://www.putfile.com/tommyo_58

That is where my pictures are being kept of the yellow sky. I must say, I have a Sol on order but, after seeing this in person...

Enjoy

Automatic???

In the picture of the interior it looks like it’s an automatic. Or am I missing some thing?

Actually, as I was driving by and did a U-ie to go back and take pictures in the poor guy's driveway, I didn't stick around too long to look it over completely but that was my impression as well.

So, we have an automatic, yellow Sky with a "non-M plate" running around here. Perhaps tomorrow I can try to see if it's still around. With the automakers shut down this week, it'll probably still be there for the week, if it is a GM car.

Jill? Jill? Jill? Bueller? Anyone? Brentil? Delnari??????

What IS the deal? So, I guess we can officially say that it definitely looks, smells and tastes of Saturn Sky. For goodness sake, the Saturn logo is RIGHT THERE in the pic!

So, when is Saturn of the Valley going to call me for my order? Now I'm beginning to wonder. I hate to be a skeptic, but what's the word on ordering. I haven't heard "boo" from my dealership for a couple of months.

Yes, that is an automatic transmission. Yellow color, Automatic Transmission, an actual SKY sitting in someone's driveway. Three things we've been told that aren't going to happen right away! What's the deal??? Btw, what town/city were these pictures taken at???

And the fact that it was left out for all to see... makes me wonder if it's a marketing ploy by GM!?!?!

Up scale neighborhood in metro Detroit. That's all I will say about the location. It wouldn't surprise me if it is an exec, either GM or supplier, who is driving it for the week while the auto industry is shut down.

Heck, for all I know, I've already got the person in trouble for leaving it out in the open.

I recognize the Area, it's definatly an Exec. And it's probably a "Pool Car" which have normal plates.

With the reported delay in production of the Bluestone coloured Sky, this would be an interesting alternative. Red is still in the lead as a good second place though.

He left that Sky out in the cold and snow with a two car garage available. Thats a shame. He must have some other hot cars hes taking care of. I want to be a GM exec.

Fast-Feedback cars don't carry M-plates. My guess would be hat's what it is, not a car sold to the general public.
What is a fast-feedback car? :)

that gets me excited, i guess they are building the pre production cars already, and the rumors that they are going to start real production early in January may be true...
I talked to my dealer yesterday, he said all he has info on right now is how many cars he will get in the first 6 months....

I remember when we did our Relay training the trainer guy mentioned he had been given a Relay months before so that he could get familiar with it before going around to all the dealerships to do the training. Maybe this guy is a product specialist or whatever they call themselves.

It does look SWEET though. I am freaking excited!!!

Where is that guy who was still calling BS on me? maybe I'll send him a Saturn Name Tag that says "Idiot"

HE HE HE, Just joking man...you are the one who said it.
