Does anyone know the maximum rim and tire width for the kappa? I'm going to drop off the rear wheels to have them widened but I was curious what the max I can go is. I'm hoping 10-12", and maybe a 305+ tire? I know that some cutting/massaging might be needed.

I have a feeling it is more tire type and compound for drag racing that he is interested in. For drags you want a lot of sidewall flex on launch and a 15" wheel definitely gives you that. Wondering if the width question pertains to tire size availability in his particular tire choice.

Unless he lowers pressure as opposed to the stock tires. LOL Remember, we're talking linear acceleration...not lateral acceleration.Still wont change the size of his contact patch:lol:

Not necessarily. While putting more weight per inch (really psi...but not in reference to air pressure here) on the contact patch will up the traction available on that tire, it doesn't increase in a linear fashion as weight increases. A wider tire with softer rubber and less psi applied to it can generate more grip and be less prone to slipping than a narrow tire with harder rubber and a higher psi load. So if softer rubber tires are only available in wider sizes that may drive his choice.
