All - In putting my roof down today I learned that you definitely want to have the "hook" in the closed (retracted) position first. On my first attempt to close the trunk, the "hook" was hitting something. I learned that there is a latch (of some sort) mounted in the trunk behind the rear window. After putting the hook in the closed position, I was able to close my trunk properly. (I know it was closed properly because the deck lid was flush with the silver body panels). Regardless, the "Trunk Ajar" sensor was going off for the entire trip home. I suspect that I created the problem when I first tried to close the trunk. When I got home and looked inside the trunk, I did not see anything that caught my eye. The latch that is inside the trunk (mounted behind the rear window) may be a little off kilter but I can't say for certain.
Does anyone know how the sensor is engaged or disengaged and what may be out of alignment? (I did not used to have this problem until today).
