Couple of Questions but Mainly About Dash Lighting AGAIN

Hi everyone,

I've got my Sky completely torn apart and I keep coming up with more to do!

I took the filters off the guage cluster lights to go from brown to what...lighter brownish white and I now want to do LEDs. I don't however want to solder on my board so...

1. Has anyone tapped into the power wire to the cluster to run a couple LEDs or would I be better off running to an open fuse slot for power?

2. The car is a base w/automatic is the cluster from a Redline w/automatic plug and play?

3. If "Yes" on #2, does anyone have a Redline cluster for less than ebay prices?

On the Redline at least, the colour comes mostly from a coating on the back of the gauge face - not just from the bulbs. I replaced the bulbs with LEDs directly on the board and used "Goof Off" to remove the backside of the gauge face (it worked great in the end, but messy!). Do a search. Ther’s a few options out there, as well as the Black Cat mentioned above.
